How to get It is in Kaveri Poompattinam (a Pallava period coastal town), now, Poompuhar village.It is 25 Kms. from Mayiladuthurai;From srikazhi 16 km; From Tiruchaaikkadu 0.5km;From Tiruvenkaadu 4 km.
The Pallava Kings have worshipped the God Shiva here. Pattinathadigal and Eyarpagai Nayanar were borne at this place.
Festivals: Five worship services are offered each day here. The Pattinathaar festival is celebrated in the month of Aadi, while Navaratri and Skanda Sashti are the other festivals celebrated here.
