• Temple Festivals: Two main festivals, 1. in May/June 2. Dec/Jan. Both are 10 days festivals ending with a cart festival on the ninth day. On the tenth day there is an abhishek (bathing of the deities) in the Raja Sabha thousand-pillared hall.
The Natyanjali Festival in February or March. During the last five days of the festival, dancers come from all over India to pay homage to the Lord of Dance.
Temple Timings: 6.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.; and 4.45 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.
Hiranya Chakravarthi of Kashmir around 500 A.D. believed to have been cured of his leprosy with a single dip in the temple pushkarini, Sivaganga thirtham .
